Though we met Gal Gadot's Diana Prince (and, of course, Wonder Woman) in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, the actual Wonder Woman film promises to explore her origins. A new poster for the film has debuted.

Wonder Woman stands as one of the more anticipated films being presented at the big Warner Bros. panel on Saturday morning (or later today if you're a night owl reading this in the UK). And the new image gives Gadot's warrior woman and more colourful look that's in keeping with her comic book origins.

The movie will see how the character, a warrior princess of the Amazons (who is more than 5,000 years old), has her first fateful meeting with a human man (Chris Pine's Steve Trevor) and the impact it has on her life, including the decision to largely stay away from us until she gets more involved with Batman and Superman's battle against evil. “She’s seen it all,” Gadot told Empire in January. “She has seen what humans can do, so it was very hard for her to come back and fight.”

With Patty Jenkins calling the shots, Wonder Woman will be on our screens next June.
