The Comfort Zone: Josh Gad Gathers The Karate Kid Cast For Reunited Apart

The Karate Kid

Usually when Josh Gad assembles the cast (and often crew members) from classic cult movies for Reunited Apart, the featured players have often not seen each other for years. That's not quite the case with the surviving members of The Karate Kid ensemble, who have been reuniting regularly for sequel online series Cobra Kai the last couple of years. Still, it was fun to see Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Elisabeth Shue and more swap stories and memories on Zoom.

One of the biggest groups Gad has rounded up to date – along with many actors from the first two Karate Kid films and Cobra Kai, there was writer Robert Mark Kamen and Cobra creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald, all ready to share their experiences. It's a fun one, and sets the scene for Cobra Kai's return next month on Netflix. And there was, fittingly, a tribute to the late Pat Morita.

And, as always, it's for a good cause, with this episode's charity chosen as Action Against Hunger, which you can donate to right here.
