Back in January, we learned that The Upside's Neil Burger would be heading into space for his new film, science fiction story Voyagers. He's been busy tracking down the cast for the movie, with Colin Farrell, Tye Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp and Fionn Whitehead among those signing on.
Kelvin Harrison, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Chanté Adams and Madison Hu are also all in talks for the film, which Burger wrote and aims to kick off shooting this June in Romania.
The story still sounds reminiscent of Lord Of The Flies to us, following what happens to 30 youngsters who are part of a multi-generational mission to populate a new planet. When the captain is mysteriously killed, the young crew descends into chaos, forming tribes and surrendering to their feral impulses.
AGC is backing the movie alongside John Wick producers Thunder Road, while Universal International will distribute the film in the UK.
