Now that problems with its previous director's history have been sorted out via the hiring of Tate Taylor, the new Jessica Chastain-starring action movie Eve can move ahead with casting. Colin Farrell and Common will both be joining her in the film.
With the new casting announcements come nuggets – if tiny – of fresh information about the film, which will see Chastain playing an assassin. According to Deadline, Farrell will be Simon, the leader of a Black Ops organisation that employs her. Common, meanwhile, will be Michael, her former fiancé.
Taylor took over the film from Matthew Newton, who stepped down after revelations about abusive actions in his past surfaced. He is, at least for now, still credited with the script, and the film kicks off production later this month in Boston.
Farrell has Widows on the way, arriving 6 November and follows that with Disney's new live-action Dumbo, out 29 March. Common will be heard in yeti 'toon Smallfoot (12 October) and seen in The Hate U Give on 26 October.
