It's like this: any time that Joel and Ethan Coen decide to make something, that's generally good news. It was true of True Grit and it's true today, with the news that they're planning a single-camera comedy show for TV called HarveKarbo.

Created and executive-produced by the brothers and set to be written by Phil Johnston, the series will follow the titular Harve, a bad-tempered LA private detective. His cases include investigating Hollywood scandal, while his private life involving hanging out with fellow deadbeats in the city's El Segundo district. Expect lots of typical Coen characters and, no doubt, a fat man screaming at some point.

Brian Grazer, of Imagine Entertainment and Imagine TV, apparently lured the Coens to the small screen, and will be exec-producing along with them. There's no release date yet, but you'll be wanting to buy a comfier sofa and settle in before this comes out, we're guessing.
