Cinemagic To Hit Belfast

The annual Cinemagic festival will be kicking off on November 17 at the Odyssey, Belfast, for a 17-day run of films and workshops. The Festival Programme includes an array of international exclusive screenings, movie premieres, special guests, director’s discussions, competitions, masterclasses and talent labs in all aspects of television and filmmaking.

The Festival will be launched in Belfast on the 23rd September with a preview screening of Disney’s new CGI comedy Chicken Little, followed by launches in Galway, Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Edinburgh and London.

There will also be a world-exclusive appearance by Lisa Henson, Chief Executive of the Jim Henson Company, to mark the 50th anniversary of the much loved and internationally respected animation film company. Lisa will be leading a discussion on the history of the company and her father’s achievements in the industry.

Talent lab workshops will be available for 18-25-year-olds and masterclasses for 10-18-year-olds, touching on everything from journalism to finding an agent.
