With Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo already in place as the leads, the cast for action remake Point Blank is growing. Christian Cooke is the latest recruit.
A new take on the 2010 French crime drama, the film finds Mackie as Paul an emergency room nurse, and Abe (Grillo), a wanted murder suspect, forced to team up as they go toe to toe with rival gangsters and corrupt cops in a deadly race to save the lives of Paul’s kidnapped wife and unborn son. Cooke will play Grillo’s brother, who kidnaps Mackie’s wife and holds her for ransom.
The cast also includes Marcia Gay Harden, Teyonah Parris, Boris McGiver and Markice Moore, with director Joe Lynch working from Adam G. Simon's script.
Cooke was last seen in TV miniseries Ordeal By Innocence and is working on a new film called My Friend The Comedian as the writer and director. Point Blank, meanwhile, should hit Netflix next year.
