It can be a tough life as a fan of Fargo's TV adaptation. The much-praised crime series is subject to the busy schedule of showrunner Noah Hawley, who has other telly projects (hello, Legion!) and movies on his mind. But there was good news on the Fargo front, with word that Chris Rock is starring in Season 4 and an actual date for that new run of episodes to start shooting.

Rock will play the head of a crime family in 1950s Kansas City, Missouri. The story will revolve around Rock’s syndicate coming to an agreement with the enemy mafia leader, agreeing to exchange sons as a way to show a truce. When the head of the Kansas City mafia dies, the entire agreement changes and chaos breaks out.

The location was chosen, as well as the era because it will serve as a collision between two migrations. The Italians coming from Italy and the African-Americans that are trying to escape the Jim Crow-era South.

Yet there is also bad news – the series won't actually resume production until the autumn... Of 2019, which means we'll all have to go on waiting until 2020 at the earliest to see that next season.
