He may not be the internet's most beloved Chris right now, but Chris Pratt clearly still has a place in the MCU. And, given that another Chris – Hemsworth this time – joined the Guardians Of The Galaxy aboard their ship at the end of Avengers: Endgame, it's perhaps not all that surprising to learn that Pratt's Star Lord is confirmed to appear in the next Thor film, Love And Thunder.
It follows on word from Vin Diesel (back a thousand years ago, in March) that we can naturally expect Guardians characters to show up in Thunder, but it somehow took until now for more confirmation, albeit from The Hollywood Reporter and not the notoriously secretive Marvel team.
Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster, who will take on her own Thor personality and attendant powers, while Tessa Thompson returns as Valkyrie and Christian Bale joins the MCU as an unspecified villain. Thor: Ragnarok's Taika Waititi is once again behind the camera and is likely to be performance capture suiting up as Korg.
Thor: Love And Thunder is scheduled to kick off shooting in Australia this January, with Pratt fitting in some additional photography on sci-fi pic The Tomorrow War before heading to the Thor set.
