Universal is clearly looking to stay in the Chris Pratt business, as the Jurassic World star is now boarding an action comedy for the studio that will also reunite him with Avengers overseers Joe and Anthony Russo.
The latter pair are on to produce a remake of Ken Ochiai's 2016 Vietnamese film Saigon Bodyguards. The new version will star Pratt and Wu Jing, the lead in the successful Chinese franchise Wolf Warrior as two friends, one a straight arrow and the other a doof, who try to find a corporate heir who is kidnapped right under their noses. You can imagine the mayhem from there.
Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, who both worked on Veep and wrote last year's What Men Want, are figuring out the script.
Joe and Anthony Russo also already have a connection to Wu Jing, as they were consultants on Wolf Warrior 2, which became the highest-grossing film in China and the highest-grossing non-English-language movie in the world. They're making a habit of being involved with movies that make money...
