He – well, his miniature avatar at least – recently returned to screens with The Lego Movie 2. And Chris Pratt has his eye on a new movie that will once again see him playing the role with more than just his voice. He's hammering out a deal to star in Ghost Draft.
Not the story of phantoms who like to scare people by causing random, rogue gusts of winds, it's actually the story of... Well, that information will apparently have to wait as Skydance Media has decided to release exactly zero plot details and all Deadline was able to dig up was the fact that it'll be "grounded" and live-action, and in the sci-fi genre. So take from that what you will. Otherworldly soldiers? The first version of a book haunting its author? Something something sports star and spooky happenings? Yes, we're pretty much out of guesses.
The Lego Batman Movie's Chris McKay is attached to direct, and the script comes from Deadfall writer Zach Dean, with Skydance nabbing the option a few years ago and shoving it into development. All being well, it should be shooting this summer, taking advantage of Pratt's schedule gap given the limbo status of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and the still-in development third Jurassic World movie. He'll be seen in Avengers: Endgame, out on 25 April.
