Chris Pine has an interesting couple of years coming up, with the likes of Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling, the still-mysterious new Dungeons & Dragons movie next year and thriller All The Old Knives. He's also got action thriller The Contractor headed to cinemas, and the trailer is online.
It might sound a little more generic than some of those other releases, but could offer some adrenaline-fuelled entertainment. Pine plays Special Forces Sergeant James Harper, who is involuntarily discharged from the Army and cut-off from his pension.
In debt, out of options and desperate to provide for his family, Harper contracts with a private underground military force. When the very first assignment goes awry, the elite soldier finds himself hunted and on the run, caught in a dangerous conspiracy and fighting to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him.
Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs and Eddie Marsan are also in the cast for this one, which was directed by Tarek Saleh. It'll be out in cinemas and on digital/on demand Stateside on 1 April but has yet to confirm a UK date.
