With shooting now under way on the fourth series of Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan's excellent, dark and honest comedy Catastrophe, the creative duo is boosting the cast list. Chris Noth and Nat Faxon are the latest recruits.
Catastrophe follows the continuing misadventures of fictional couple Rob and Sharon, who are raising a family after getting pregnant on a one-night stand. The last series left with Rob falling off the alcoholic wagon and getting into an accident.
Deadline's story doesn't specify what Noth or Faxon will be playing, but we know they're part of the new cast alongside Brian Gleeson, David Alan Grier, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Michaela Watkins, who will be Delaney's character's sister. That's particularly telling, especially since the late Carrie Fisher played their mother in the show and the new series is likely to address her death.
The show will be back later this year on Channel 4 in the UK and Amazon Prime Video in the States.
