As if Dwayne Johnson wasn't enough star wattage for "holiday" action-adventure comedy Red One (we're fairly certain it's Christmas, given the title), another big name is joining the roster as Chris Evans is aboard.

Amazon has picked up the project from Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions, and the basic concept comes via his producing partner Hiram Garcia. As to what it'll actually be about? That has yet to be officially confirmed, though we could be look at a new, all-action story featuring Santa Claus. And if Johnson is taking the role, does this mean Dwanta Claus is going from Rock promo/charity cause to the bog screen?

This would mark the first time that Evans and Johnson have starred together in a movie (a certain 2021 release's cameo efforts don't count), and we don't yet know what Evans will be playing.

What is known? Jumanji sequels director Jake Kasdan will call the shots and Fast & Furious veteran writer Chris Morgan cranked out the script. The plan is to have the film on screens for Christmas 2023.
