As writer/director Mike Flanagan enjoys some of the best reviews of his career thanks to final Netflix series The Fall Of The House Of Usher, he's already thrown himself into his next film, The Life Of Chuck. It'll find him on familiar territory, adapting a Stephen King story (or, in this case, three) and thanks to an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA, he's been able to cast it and have cameras rolling since earlier this month, with Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill starring. The ensemble has now grown to include Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan and Jacob Tremblay.

Based on three interconnected stories from King’s 2020 anthology If It Bleeds, The Life Of Chuck examines the existence of its subject Charles Krantz (Hiddleston) in reverse, beginning with his death aged 39 from a brain tumor and ending with his childhood in a house believed to be haunted.

Hamill, who had a key role in Usher, will play Albie. While the new recruits' roles weren't revealed, this will mark Tremblay's third collaboration with Flanagan following Before I Wake and Doctor Sleep, while Gillan appeared in the director's horror pic Oculus.
