Harry Elfont, a man who is lucky to still be getting jobs after writing Surviving Christmas will nevertheless handle both jobs again on an adaptation of the Danish movie Chinaman.

The plot sees a man’s life thrown for a loop when his wife walks out. But there’s better fortune in store when, during his nightly visit to a Chinese takeaway, the owner makes him a business proposal that ends up making him rich.

Benderspink Productions nabbed the rights to the original, which was directed by Henrik Ruben Genz. There’s no cast attached yet.
