UPDATE: There is another new recruit, as American Gods' Pablo Schreiber is also aboard the movie.
You might think that new action thriller Skyscraper really only required two elements: star Dwayne Johnson and a giant building for him to punch. Or save. Whichever works. But writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber clearly disagrees, as he's filling up the rest of the cast, adding Ghost In The Shell's Chin Han.
Neve Campbell most recently joined the movie, which finds Johnson as a former FBI hostage rescue team commander (and war veteran, just in case his heroic credentials were in any doubt) who has segued into advising on security for giant skyscrapers. While on assignment in China, he discovers that one of the towering buildings – seen as the tallest, yet safest building in the world — is suddenly an inferno and someone is framing him for the fire. Now on the run, he has to clear his name, track down the real culprit and rescue his family, who are trapped inside.
Deadline doesn't directly state who Chin Han will play, but there is mention of the building's designer and builder who could be of use in the situation, so that sounds likely. The cameras will be rolling, and the flames roaring, next month.
