Pop superstar Cher has been offered the coveted role of Cleopatra in a forthcoming British TV movie about the life of the legendary Egyptian Queen. The 53-year-old actress and singer has certainly been in demand since topping the UK charts with her latest single Believe - apparently she's also considering following in the footsteps US stars like Madonna and Nicole Kidman by performing on the London stage, having been offered three roles in the past few weeks. Her spokesperson confirmed that the Cleopatra role is in the bag if Cher wants it, but she has to check her schedule before confirming.
