Last week we had news of the US remake of Park Chan-wook's **Sympathy For Mr Vengeance and now, as if by magic, here's a set of images and a new teaser to remind us that Spike Lee got there first with his rejigging of Oldboy. Heralding the arrival of the film's website, this collection checks us into Hotel **Oldboy, which, as viewers of the original film will know, is not somewhere you'd want to stay. Especially not for twenty years.
First, here's the film clip, in which Samuel Jackson prepares our stay with some tasty take-out and opiates. He even does our blood-soaked laundry, while laying out some of the rules...
Then we have the hotel's advertising materials, promising great views, learning oportunities, room service, maid service, professional staff, and comprehensive security.
Hotel Oldboy, on this evidence, has a touch of the Hostels about it, but it's certainly undergone an overhaul since 2003.
Spike Lee's Oldboy, starring Jackson, Josh Brolin, Sharlto Copley and Elizabeth Olsen, is out in the UK on December 6.
