Back in March, it was revealed that prolific scriptwriter Diablo Cody had another screenplay in her portfolio, Young Adult, the tale of a woman who tries to re-visit her past to reclaim her identity. Now it looks like the movie has not only bagged Charlize Theron to take the lead role, but will form something of a Juno reunion as Jason Reitman is looking to direct it.

**Young Adult **focuses on an author who has been working for years as a ghost writer in the genre, but who comes to realise that she’s so totally subsumed her own personality into the pseudonym that she’s no longer sure she’s happy with life.

Her solution is to head back to her home town and attempting to rekindle her relationship with her old high school boyfriend, a quest hindered slightly by the fact that he’s both just gotten married and become a dad. And that he’s not exactly happy to see his ex back in his life.

Deadline reports that Cody, Reitman and Mandate Pictures are trying to rustle up the rest of the movie’s funding (having Theron in the lead will help there, even if the writer/director combo should really be enough to make anyone open their wallet) and the current plan is to kick off shooting in November.
