We already know that Sofia Boutella will be starring in Zack Snyder's next film, Rebel Moon. But as the director shared some new concept art (in his tweet lower down the page), he also revealed who else will be part of the cast. He's recruited Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Doona Bae, Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi and Sky Yang.
Rebel Moon, which was born from a concept that Snyder was pitching as a potential Star Wars story before Disney swooped in and bought Lucasfilm, is the story of an an enigmatic young woman who is given the responsibility by a peaceful colony on the outskirts of the galaxy to find warriors who can fend off an impending invasion by the despotic Regent Balisarius.
Snyder worked on the script with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad, and is aiming to have the cameras rolling this year for Army Of The Dead backers Netflix.
We don't yet know who the new arrivals will play in the film, but this represents a reunion for Snyder with Justice League's Fisher and Sucker Punch's Malone. While it seems likely to arrive next year, there's no set date for the movie's release.
