While the It sequel has rounded up the people it needs to play the adult versions of the Losers Club we met in the first film, there are still supporting roles to fill. Filmmaker Xavier Dolan and actor Will Beinbrink are the new additions.

Andy Muschietti is returning to direct Chapter Two, which catches up with the tormented town of Derry, Maine years after the events of the original. The Losers Club members have largely moved away and forgotten (or repressed) their encounter with the terrifying, demonic Pennywise, but an urgent phone call summons them back for round two.

The main cast this time includes James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Jay Ryan as Ben and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. Bill Skarsgard is back to play their nemesis.

Dolan is on as Adrian Mellon, a gay man living in Derry who becomes the target of bullies, while Beinbrink will be Tom Rogan, Beverly's lover and an abusive influence in her life.

With Gary Dauberman on script duty, the film is scheduled to start shooting soon (despite a recent Instagram post from McAvoy, Deadline that actual production is set to kick off next month) and will be out on 6 September next year.
