October brought word that Sandra Bullock was on to star in and producenew romantic comedy adventure The Lost City Of D. The aim back then was to have her The Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds to join her, but it looks like that deal didn't land, as Channing Tatum is now in negotiations to take the other lead role.
Director Seth Gordon came up with the original concept, though his script has been re-written by Dana Fox. And he also won't be in director's chair, which will be filled by Adam and Aaron Nee. Bullock will star as a reclusive romance novelist who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger — and more romantic — than any of her paperback fictions.
There's no information yet on when this one will shoot. Bullock most recently worked an untitled drama, while Tatum is finishing up his directorial debut, post-war drama Dog.
