He’s best known for playing real-life people in 42 and the fortcoming Get On Up, but before he joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman is squeezing in a revenge thriller. He’ll play a man looking for justice in **Message From The King.
Belgian director Fabrice du Welz is calling the shots from Stephen Cornwell and Oliver Butcher’s script. The plot follows a man named Jacob King, who touches down in Los Angeles from South Africa in search of his younger sister. He has only a few hundred dollars to his name and a plane ticket that means he must return home a week, but is devastated to learn that his sister has died. Burning with the need for vengeance, he tracks down the people responsible across the next six days.
Boseman is as a producer for the film, which should kick off shooting in February before he has to go and report for duty on Captain America: Civil War to start work on his five-film Marvel deal.
In addition to his superhero duties, he’ll also be seen in Alex Proyas’ Gods Of Egypt, which is scheduled to arrive here on February 12, 2016.
