Indie comedy drama The Oranges is building quite the eclectic, solid cast, with Catherine Keener, Allison Janney, Adam Brody and **Whip It’**s Alia Shawkat all in negotiations to jump aboard.
The film will star Dr House himself, Hugh Laurie, as a man who turns his family’s life upside down when he falls for the daughter (Leighton Meester) of a friend.
Brody will play Laurie’s son, who has a crush on Meester, but is horrified when he discovers she’s already seeing his pop, while Shawkat will play his sister and Keener his mother.
Janney, on the other hand, will play Meester’s mother. Julian Farino is the man charged with keeping them all in line and will kick off directing the film at the end of the month in New York.
