Catherine McCormack has to be one of the luckiest women around. Not only does the actress have three films showing at the London Film Festival this year - Shadow of The Vampire, The Weight of Water and the festival's closing film Born Romantic - but she's just landed a job opposite Hollywood's officially-recognised sexiest actors, Robert Redford and Brad Pitt in The Spy Game. 'I start in a couple of days,' Catherine told Empire Online at the screening of Shadow of the Vampire last night (2 November 2000). 'They were going to be filming in Israel originally, so they've been searching for locations and found Morocco. The script's based in the early 80s, in Beirut, so obviously Tel Aviv was going to be perfect - the location and the landscape of it - I guess they found somewhere equally as good in Morocco...I start filming in Oxford next week and Morocco in about three week's time. 'I play an aid worker. I meet Brad Pitt's character, who's a war photographer, or who says he's a war photographer, and I develop a relationship with him. I don't know what else I can say about it, except for the fact that I'm very politically motivated. I've been thrown out of England because of certain terrorist activities that I've been involved with. So it's a love interest role that they've given a political dynamic to make her more interesting.' So what's the verdict about her leading men? 'We had a read through and they're both extremly charming men. But while it's always exciting to meet anyone new, I was kind of more excited about meeting Robert Redford, because I've been a fan of his since All the President's Men.'
