There are dark, demonic forces afoot behind the scenes of the new Blumhouse Productions horror thriller Incarnate. How else do you explain the mysterious disappearance of Rosario Dawson from the cast? Actually, there’s nothing of the sort going on – she’s simply got a scheduling clash with the movie’s planned November shoot and the good news is that Catalina Sandino Moreno will take her place{ =nofollow}.

Aaron Eckhart is still firmly on board to star, playing a charming, unconventional exorcist whose ability to tap into the subconscious of the possessed is mightily helpful when it comes to sorting out matters of demonic chaos. He meets his match, however, when he takes on a case involving a 9-year-old cursed with a demon that our hero has tangled with in the past. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’s Brad Peyton is calling the shots, working from Ronnie Christensen’s script. He’s set to start filming in LA next month.

Sandino has most recently been working on US TV crime drama The Bridge and shot indie movies Home and Swelter.
