Formerly known as Loomis Fargo, the currently untitled heist comedy from Napoleon Dynamite's Jared Hess is continuing to fill its cast. To join the already aboard Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig and Jason Sudeikis, Hess has now also nabbed Kate McKinnon, Ken Marino, Leslie Jones, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Devin Ratray and Ross Kimball.

Inspired by true events in 1997, the story involves armoured car driver David, who channels his disaffection with the job into a plan to liberate $20m from a bank vault. Sadly for him, there's a glaring trail of evidence, while his cohorts double-cross him and proceed to live it up on the robbery's proceeds while he's left alone on the run in Mexico. Not unnaturally, our hero's next plan is to get even.

Galifianakis (in a role originally earmarked for Jim Carrey) is David, with Wilson and Wiig as his shonky accomplices Steve and Kelly, and Sudeikis as a hit man. Of the newcomers, Marino (Veronica Mars, We're The Millers) is a wealthy and resentful neighbour of Steve's; McKinnon (SNL) is David's' domineering fiancé; Jones (an SNL writer) is a detective on the thieves' trail; Ellis (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is Steve's gold-digging wife; and Ratray (Blue Ruin, Nebraska, Home Alone) and newcomer Kimball are Steve's henchmen.

SNL's Emily Spivey wrote the original script, which has since been overhauled by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer; and there's yet one further SNL connection in Lorne Michaels, who's among the producers. Shooting starts imminently, with the US release date of August 15, 2015 already set.
