Cast As Ghost…V.Good

With filming on the second Harry Potter movie, The Chamber of Secrets, already well underway, casting details are beginning to escape the security cordon. The BBC's Potter expert, Lizo Mzimba, managed to pry a few names out of the Potter crew this week, and perhaps the most surprising detail is that of one Moaning Myrtle. Fans of the book will remember her as a permanently irritable teenage ghost, but the actress chosen to represent the wraith on screen is an ancient 32 years old. Shirley Henderson - best remembered for her role as Renee Zellweger's incomprenhensible friend, Jude, in Bridget Jones's Diary - has been confirmed in the role. Other cast members include 12-year-old Hugh Mitchell who will play Colin Creevey and Julian Glover who takes on the role of Aragog the giant spider... how proud he must be!
