There are many things you expect from GMTV: tips on getting rid of cellulite using things you might find at the bottom of the fridge; someone standing in the middle of an empty village to get closer to a story about a missing dog; Fiona Phillips being agreeably mental. You do not expect scoops on big Hollywood movies. Until now!
CHUD has reported that a GMTV viewer let them know that, during an interview with the cosy morning show, Gena Rowlands let slip that her son is thinking of directing Captain America, having once been in line to bring Iron Man to screen. Now, since she has just the one son, that means Nick Cassavetes.
We don't know how often Cassavetes Jr talks to his dear ol' mum, so we don't know whether this means he's currently in talks or just mentioned it to her once when they'd finished discussing the price of eggs nowadays and what auntie Bessy's been up to recently. But a Nick Cassavetes take on this once twee and recently almost-controversial superhero, who's been trying to fight his way onto screen for years, is one we'd like to see.
