While director Cary Fukunaga expected that his latest, and biggest cinematic job to date, No Time To Die would have long been in cinemas by now (we all know why it isn't), he's not sitting around during the delay, and instead setting up plenty of other work. He's headed back to TV for the latest World War II project from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, Masters Of The Air.

Following acclaimed miniseries such as Band Of Brothers and The Pacific, Air will adapt Donald L. Miller's book, subtitled America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany. It tells, as you could probably surmise, a deeply personal story of the American and British bomber boys who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep in World War II. The latest miniseries was adapted for the previous series' home at HBO, but dropped out as the cable channel refocused its drama interests, and Apple swooped in to grab the rights.

Fukunaga had been fielding a number of offers to make another film, but instead decided to jump onto the miniseries, preparing to direct the first three episodes and act as a producer. Band Of Brothers veterans John Orloff and Graham Yost wrote the scripts, and it'll kick off shooting this March in London.

As for No Time To Die, the new Bond movie is now scheduled to arrive in April 2021.
