Joe Carnahan is returning to the seedy drug world he visited with 2002’s Narc for a movie about the life of Will Wright, a 17-year-old prodigy who masterminded a $70million drugs empire.
Wright, who grew up in Washington, was a high achieving student who was caught by the FBI in a sting operation and found to be behind a international drug ring and money laundering outfit. He spent eight years in jail and was released in 2003.
Carnahan, who is currently directing mob comedy Smokin’ Aces, is co-writing the script with Joseph F. Alexandre.
