Cantona To Star in Moves

Eric Cantona's metamorphosis from enfant terrible to darling of European indie cinema continues apace with the ex-footballer added to the teamsheet for French director HPG's new film Moves.

Moves, which will go by the rather more exciting name 'Les Mouvements Du Bassin' or 'Pelvis Moves' on the continent, is described as a burlesque tragic actioner* and sees Cantona playing a martial-arts student who connects with fellow outsider Marion, a dreamer who yearns to have a child.

It'll be a family affair for Cantona, with Marion played by his missus Rachida Brackni, who worked with HPG (aka Hervé P. Gustave) on his last pic We Should Not Exist.

Heartache, kung-fu, existentialist angst: it's 1994/95 all over again for Le Roi. **Moves **is current in pre-production and filming will start this autumn.
