If you were sorry to see Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele end their eponymous sketch show last year, comfort yourself with the fact that their partnership and culture-clash style of humour remains fully intact for action comedy Keanu. This is a red band offering, so be advised of swearing, violence and extremely sweet kitty goodness.
Playing on familiar tropes, Key and Peele are cousins Clarence and Rell, two boys who probably couldn't find the 'hood if they used a GPS. But when Rell's beloved kitten Keanu – a stray he adopted after a bad breakup – is catnapped, they'll have to infiltrate a street gang to retrieve the little guy.
Unfortunately, their hilariously inadequate attempts to become street tough end up unwittingly sparking a gang war, and the two will have to take the law into their own hands. With regular Key & Peele director Peter Atencio marshalling the madness and Tiffany Haddish, Method Man, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzman, Nia Long and Will Forte in the cast, Keanu hits US screens on April 29, but we're still waiting to learn when it'll make its way over to the UK.
