According to New York magazine, James Cameron's sketches for Kate Winslet's character in Titanic show more than a little resemblance to several famous photographs. The photographs named, by world famous photographers, include Sally Mann's "Rodney Plogger at 6:01"; Alfred Stieglitz's "Georgia O'Keeffe, Hands, 1920," and Brassai's "'Bijou' of Montmartre." Mann has already reached an out-of-court settlement with Cameron, while Brassai's widow is contemplating a lawsuit. Paramount allowed that "some sketches" in the film may have been "inspired by other works."
