Cameron Crowe Targets Bradley Cooper

With Emma Stone already lined up, it appears the casting gods are once more smiling on Cameron Crowe (perhaps unsurprisingly) as he has Bradley Cooper in talks to join his latest, untitled script.

Back in July, when Stone was in talks, speculation was rife as to whether this would be a brand new script from Crowe or the resurrection of unusual, Hawaii-set romance Deep Tiki.

Unfortunately, it appears that speculation remains the name of the game, as no one in camp Crowe, Sony Pictures or Scott Rudin’s office is talking plot just yet. All that is really known is that it’ll be a romantic two-hander (stop sniggering, there!) in the mould of Jerry Maguire and, we’d guess to a lesser extent, Almost Famous.

Cooper seems a solid choice for Crowe’s style, especially given recent work with David O. Russell in** Silver Linings Playbook**. He’s recently been filming **The Hangover III **and also appears in The Place Beyond The Pines for Derek Cianfrance and Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook, which generating talk of an Oscar nomination.
