Toy Story 3 may yet be moving forward.
According to a statement from Disney chief Robert Iger, the company is planning to step up its release plan for Pixar films from one film a year to two. And related to that is word that Pixar will continue development on the second Toy Story sequel, so controversially begun by Disney’s own in-house team when the new Pixar deal seemed a far-off dream and Disney owned full control of the rights to any of their sequels.
It’s not known if the Pixar bods will hang on to the plot of Disney’s planned version – Buzz (Tim Allen) under threat from a product recall – but we'll keep you informed as we learn more.
