Burgling Brosnan

Pierce to reprise master thief role

The spectacular show of pilfering in The Thomas Crowne Affair has obviously not sated Pierce Brosnan's appetite for a spot of daring larceny. For after only a 4 year break from the wrong side of the law, the current incarnation of 007 is heading back for some more light-fingered entertainment in new thriller, After the Sunset. Brosnan will once again have a whale of a time playing a master thief but this time in a movie which starts where most heist flicks end. With his last big score behind him, this movie's purloiner is first seen sailing off to an island paradise to leave his criminal past behind him. That is, until his lifelong nemesis, one of those pesky FBI agents, insists on showing up to make sure he's really retired. And so in the great movie tradition, a new cat-and-mouse game of friendship, suspicion and thievery is sparked off that should make Leo and Tom's shenanigans in Catch Me If You Can look positively pedestrian.
