Daredevil Season 3

Over its first two seasons (and the Defenders series), Daredevil has played a major part in expanding the Netflix-verse's roster of classic Marvel characters. The first season brought us the Kingpin, aka Wilson Fisk, followed later by the introduction of The Hand, Elektra, and The Punisher. And now with its third season just a matter of days away, there’s an intriguing new arrival: Bullseye.

The classic comic villain, memorably played by Colin Farrell in the 2003 Daredevil movie, is part of Season 3, and we’ve got our first look at him in the latest trailer. Here he’s Agent ‘Dex’ Poindexter (really, ‘Poindexter’?), played by Wilson Bethel, a former FBI agent who’s gone off the rails and spiralled into sharp-shooting villainy. And while he doesn’t literally have a bullseye symbol on his forehead, in keeping with the Marvel series’ more grounded tone, he will be sporting a baseball cap with a handily-placed dartboard logo on the front.

It’s looking to be a challenging time for Matt Murdock, who seems to be in a dark place even by his own bleak standards this season. And he’ll be contending with the return of Wilson Fisk, now wearing that classic white Kingpin suit after leaving prison. We’ll see how it all pans out when the season hits Netflix on 19 October.
