Yippee ki yay, mega teaser. Sending social media into a tizzy Sunday night was a teaser video of Bruce Willis reprising his iconic role as John McClane, with many surmising it could mean a new movie. Sadly – at least, depending on how you view the more recent franchise entries – it turned out to be an advert for a car battery, which you can find below.

DieHard batteries, to be exact, which have existed for 32 years, but has never thought to try and tie-in the famous action franchise. Or maybe they've tried before, but Willis has a mortgage payment coming due or something.

The ad doesn't just feature Willis nodding to the original, but also includes Clarence Gilyard, who played Theo (the only henchman to survive the 1987 movie) and De’voreaux White’s Argyle. Looking like it cost a fortune, the ad won't do anything to convince us that Die Hardhas a healthy future.
