Susan Sarandon and Pierce Brosnan have both signed up to star in The Greatest, a family tragedy about a family trying to deal with the loss of a teenage son and who have their lives thrown into further turmoil by the actions of a young girl (no word on what she actually does, but it's all very upsetting). Sarandon and Brosnan will play the parents, says Variety.
The film will serve as the directorial debut of screenwriter Shana Feste.
