It's been a slow process of coming to terms with the fact that a third film featuring Alex Winter's Bill S. Preston, esq. and Keanu Reeves' Theodore "Ted" Logan is actually happening after all these years, but the news keeps on coming to brighten our days. The latest announcement? Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving will play Billie Logan and Thea Preston in Bill & Ted Face The Music.
They would be Bill and Ted's daughters, who will be caught up in the time-travelling, music-obsessed duo's quest to save us all. The story runs as follows... Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends. "When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like déjà vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill & Ted team!"" says producer Scott Kroopf.
William Sadler will be back as the Grim Reaper, while Dean Parisot's in the director's chair and the original movies' writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon return on script duty. The film will arrive (in the US at least) on 21 August next year.
