Brian Tyree Henry has been putting in great performances on screens big and small for the last few years, including stealing scenes on Atlanta and in movies such as Hotel Artemis. He's nabbed a starring role in a new indie drama called The Outside Story.
Writer/director Casimir Nozkowski is behind the new film, which will see Henry as Charles Young, an introverted editor who spends his days hiding from the world in his second-floor Brooklyn apartment. Endlessly on deadline, he has no time or inclination to interact with others... At least, until he accidentally locks himself out of his building and must confront what he's been avoiding to find a way back in.
The cameras should be rolling on this one in November, on location in Brooklyn. Henry has been typically busy, working on a slew of new movies including Widows (out 6 November), White Boy Rick (7 December), Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (14 December) and Barry Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk (18 January).
