Though he hasn’t had the best of luck with some recent releases (indie comedy Whole Lotta Sole remains a festival release and the less said about Furry Vengeance the better), Brendan Fraser has certainly been busy. He’s adding to his list of upcoming projects by starring in Split Decisio****n.

Damian Lee has written and will direct the movie, which finds Fraser play a father to two kids (Holly Deveaux and Christian Martin) who head out on a wildness trip with a family pal (Daniel Kash). But their happy camping turns nasty when they witness criminal types Dominic Purcell and Ethan Suplee murdering someone and the villains decide that the young witnesses must be bumped off before they can alert the authorities. Naturally, Fraser has to rescue his sprogs before they’re killed in what sounds like a throwback to all those 80s kids movies where plucky youngsters were imperilled by gangster types.

Lee is set to start shooting the thriller shortly in Ontario, and Fraser is co-producing the movie as well as starring. He’s got several movies awaiting release, including HairBrained, Gimme Shelter, Pawn Shop Chronicles and** A Case Of You**.
