Bradley Cooper has a busy time ahead, not just in terms of filmmaking work but also promoting all the movies he’s in. He’s today adding another possible job, entering negotiations for J Blakeson’s crime thriller Bad Blood And Trouble.
That’s not all: according to Variety, Clint Eastwood is considering Cooper as a likely leading man opposite Beyoncé in his new version of A Star Is Born.
Let’s tackle Bad Blood first. It would mark the return of The Disappearance Of Alice Creed writer-director Blakeson, who is sticking with twisted ethics and criminals but jumping back in time to the 1950s. Cooper is lined up to play a Miami detective in love with a married woman, even as he tries to help her husband fight a group of dangerous men.
As for A Star Is Born, Cooper is being touted as the mentor who falls for Beyoncé’s rising starlet even as her career begins to outstrip his own. No talks have started on that front, and as mentioned, the actor is extremely busy at the moment and may not have the schedule space for it. Still, you can imagine he’d try to clear some room for the chance to work with Eastwood.
Cooper is getting set to start shooting The Hangover 3 next month (the film is adding John Goodman to the cast), and will also be attending the Toronto Film Festival, where he’ll be talking up David O Russell’s **Silver Linings Playbook **and Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond The Pines. He’ll also appear in scenes from Susanne Bier’s Serena, which are screening at the festival. Once he’s finished reuniting the Wolfpack and performing the festival duties, he’ll move on to David O. Russell’s next film, the untitled true political scam story co-starring the equally busy-right-now Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams. When does he eat?!
