Bradley Cooper On For New Comedy

Yes, you read that headline right: someone really is planning to put Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds in a film together. Two someones, actually, in the shape of** Up in the Air** writer Sheldon Turner and busy producer Neal Moritz{ =nofollow}, who have attached the pair to a new action comedy.

The untitled pic will follows two friends who also happen to be San Francisco police officer. It just so happens that their fathers used to be cops too, and a new case forces the foursome to work together, bringing the older men out of retirement. Cue squabbling as they track down the criminals…

In other words, it will feature what the Risky Business blog describes as an updated Lethal Weapon vibe. Turner, along with fellow producer Andrew Panay, has been developing the film for a while now, with Dwayne Johnson (back when he was still known as The Rock) previously attached to one of the cop roles.

But all this means that two of the busiest talents in Hollywood are now attached to a film we figure will be made sometime in 2025.
