Spying while looking good? Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard can tick that off their list as they take a moment at a cafe in the first picture of Robert Zemeckis' latest, Allied. Take a look above, courtesy of People.
Steven Knight wrote Allied, in which Pitt is playing an intel officer called Max Vatan. In North Africa in 1942 he meets Cotillard’s resistance fighter on a potentially deadly mission behind German lines. She poses as his wife to help complete the task, and back in London later, the pair rekindle their affair as the bombs fall.
And to help the chemistry, the pair started hanging out before the cameras rolled. "It was crucial for Brad and Marion to not only begin rehearsing together before the shoot, but they also spent a lot of time developing their characters with the director, Robert Zemeckis," producer Graham King tells People. "By the time we got to set, it was really amazing to see these characters already feel lived in and real."
With the likes of Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode also in the cast, Allied will be out here in November. We'd expect to see a trailer soon enough.
