Brad Pitt, promoting his new movie The Fight Club, has decided to soften his image by posing in a selection of frocks for the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine in the US. Sporting a fifties print shift dress and a single orange rubber glove (on his left hand) Pitt posed for the magazine's cover brandishing a cigarette while smouldering at the camera.
Already causing a stir across the pond, The Fight Club (out in the UK on November 12) centres on a group of disaffected young men who assert their masculinity by engaging in brutal bareknuckle fights. Pitt prepared for the role by pumping plenty of iron, and, to the horror of dental obsessed Americans, knocked out a couple of teeth to add authenticity to his character. "I couldn't just be a pretty guy again", he explained, referring to his skimpy feminine attire.
