UK thesps Dougray Scott and Sean Bean have scooped roles in two of Hollywood’s hottest film properties. According to Cinescape, Dougray, last seen in This Year's Love, will play Wolverine in the eagerly-anticipated The X-Men. Although the film doesn’t yet have a UK release date – it will open in the States in June 2000. This is yet another plum role for Scott who will also be seen in the upcoming Mission Impossible 2 and Gregory's 2 Girls. Meanwhile, the rumour machine for Lord of the Rings grinds on and on. The latest actor rumoured to have been offered a part is Sean Bean – who, it’s said, has been cast as Boromir – a warrior who initially wants to possess the ring himself, but then joins the heroes against Sauron. Filming begins in New Zealand next month.
