Neil Jordan’s latest attempt to make a film about Rome’s most famous historical family has collapsed.

Borgia was scheduled to start shooting in September, with Scarlett Johansson and Colin Farrell starring, but Jordan has now pulled out of the film, after failing to get the logistics worked out for the budget available.

He’ll instead make The Brave One at Warner Brothers, a revenge thriller starring Terrence Howard and Jodie Foster, which will kick off this summer.
